RRA enjoys AGM lunch

RADIOKOP – Radiokop residents are urged to join the resident's association.

The Radiokop Resident’s Association (RRA) welcomes in the new year at their annual general meeting.

Community members gathered at the Ridgecrest Family Church on 10 April to enjoy a delicious lunch, sponsored by EC Security, and discuss past and future plans of the RRA. Greg Olsen, chairperson of RRA, spoke about some of the successes that they have accomplished together as a community. He thanked all relevant members for their continued support and work in community clean-ups.

Read about the clean-ups here:

“As a team we were able to evict two suspected drug dealers from homes in our area as well as the remove the vagrants at the driving range,” added Olsen.

Olsen urged Radiokop residents to support the Patrol Initiative (PI) by means of volunteering time for patrols as well as donating much needed funds for petrol. “The PI has had a great impact in our community and currently has 26 active patrols. The more presence we have in the neighbourhood the more effective the patrols will be in combating crime,” said Olsen.

Residents are urged to join their local RA’s as Olsen puts it, “Everyone needs support and by joining the RA, a small number of people are able to make a massive difference.”

The AGM ended by voting in the committee:

Chairperson: Greg Olsen

Deputy chairperson: Ingrid Dinsmore

Treasurer: Sharon Jonker

Secretary: Peter Dinsmore.
