Joburg Water warns residents that there will be a water interruption throughout the week in particular areas. They expressed that water supply across the City of Johannesburg is normal, with reservoir levels across the City in a satisfactory position.
However, JW will implement planned service interruptions for maintenance in the following areas this week:
Randpark Ridge Ext 94
Street: Dale Lace Avenue
Start Date: 29 March
Time: 8am to 4pm
Restoration: 4pm to 7pm.
Wilgeheuwel
Streets: Vintage Avenue
Start Date: 30 March
Time: 8am to 4pm
Restoration: 4pm to 7pm.
Residents are reminded that Level-2 water restrictions are still in place and must be adhered to.
According to section 44 (3) of the Water Services Bylaw Level-2 water restrictions states that all consumers are forthwith compelled:
- Not to water and irrigate their gardens from 6am to 6pm every day
- Not to fill their swimming pools with municipal water
- Not to use hosepipes to wash their cars and paved areas.
Water saving tips
- Don’t leave taps dripping
- Take shallow baths
- Use bathwater or greywater to water the garden.
Joburg Water urges residents to remain active partners in reducing the quantity of water used in the City of Joburg, and to report any form of vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 080 000 2587.
