Church cares for children

ROBIN HILLS – Church dedicates their second anniversary celebrations to give back to children's home.

Oasis Haven in Robin Hills is a children’s home that prides themselves in making the home feel like an actual family home as they do not put any signage outside of the home, but they still need donations from charities to assist in the care giving of the children in their care.

The Winners Camp Ministry Church in Fontainebleau has dedicated their second anniversary to giving back to a charity of their choice. Ursula Ndinga from the social department of the church said that she searched for charities nearby and found Oasis Haven. She said that they hosted a children’s party at the church to raise money and other needs that Oasis Haven might have.

“Today we will be donating clothes, groceries and money,” said Ndinga. She added that the church managed to raise R3850 to be used by Oasis Haven. Beverly Beukes office manager from Oasis Haven was grateful to receive the generous donation as they need any help they can get from the community in order to take care of the children to the best of their abilities.
