Schools host meet-and-greet at Spur

NORTH RIDING–Parents got the opportunity to socialise with each other and with teachers at Spur.

Different schools hosted a meet-and-greet at Spur Steak Ranches restaurant in Northgate on 1 March. Parents, staff members and pupils got the opportunity to socialise with each other and enjoy a dinner.

The dinner was attended by Northriding College, Sharonlea Childcare, Northriding Pre-Primary School and Sharonlea Pre-Primary School.

Pupils enjoyed themselves playing fun games at Spur. Photo supplied.

Northriding Pre-Primary School principal, Kaylee Seaton said that dinner at Spur was for parents and teachers to get to know each other. “The turnout of the parents and pupils was amazing. Each child was provided with a voucher for a meal by Spur,” said Seaton.

She added that this is the second meet-and-greet they have hosted and hope to have another one soon.

Sharonlea Childcare Centre principal, Bianca Jooste said she received positive feedback from parents about how much their children enjoyed the evening. They got to meet and socialise with other parents.

“We hope to have the meet-and-greet at Spur once every term,” concluded Jooste.
