BOSKRUIN – Businesswomen attend the first TeamHealth4Life networking breakfast.

TeamHealth4Life hosted their first women’s networking breakfast at Panteli’s Italian Kitchen in Boskruin, on 1 March. The breakfast was attended by businesswomen from all walks of life.

Founder of TeamHealth4Life Estelle Filen said that the aim of the breakfast is to bring women together to know each other in the community in order to to promote and support each other in friendship and in business.

Expert and truth speaker Samantha Le Roux spoke about the power of networking and how it can be used as an important tool in business. “The most important value in networking is courage. Estelle put together the breakfast without any help from anyone and so far the results have been phenomenal. I believe courage made this event possible,” explained Le Roux.

She went on to say that networking has less to do with what you are selling and more to do with what another person has to offer you.

“You need to start creating experiences with like-minded people. You need to have the courage to to talk to people wherever you are, every day of your life. Asking for help when times are hard is something that we should all practise. Failure results in growth, only when you stop trying, it becomes a failure,” said Le Roux.

The breakfast was also attended by movie star Zeus the dog with his owner and trainer Sandy Cammell. Guests who attended got the opportunity to win prizes when they were selected to speak about their businesses.

Filen said she randomly picked business cards provided by guests and asked them to explain what their business was about in 60 seconds.

“Guests who were selected to speak about their businesses won prizes such as a full body massage, a bouquet of flowers and free fitness training. We are still confirming the date of our next breakfast which will be in April,” concluded Filen.
