RANDPARK RIDGE –Very lucky Rand Park High School cricketers get expert advice.

The U14A cricket team at Rand Park High School was invited by Ram Hand-to-Hand Couriers to attend an exclusive Cricket Coaching Clinic with the Proteas, at SuperSport Park in Centurion on 20 February.

The team was personally coached by members of the Proteas team and their coaches in batting, bowling and fielding. The event was structured as a family day and siblings were invited to participate too while parents enjoyed refreshments and Ram’s extensive hospitality.

Declan Thompson, U14A cricketer said, “It was a great experience for our team to meet so many of the Protea players on Saturday. I was very lucky to be personally coached by Imran Tahir who helped me with my bowling skills.”

The clinic was aimed to develop cricketing skills, while fostering a love for the game among players 13 years and younger. The Proteas also hosted a question and answer session with the small group of participants, and which had the boys inspired and in awe of their enthusiasm for their game.

Rand Park’s Cameron Willis was awarded the top bowler prize in the senior boys’ category. It was a day to be remembered and certainly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the young cricketers.
