STRIJDOM PARK – Pupils of Oxford Pre-School celebrate Valentine's Day by spread the love to those they met.

Pupils of Oxford Pre-School  showed people that Valentine’s Day is not only about showing love to those you know, but also to those you do not know.

The pupils, who were accompanied by their teacher Janine Beiez, went out onto the streets of Strijdom Park to pay it forward with love. They held hands and laughed as they trotted along destination to destination handing out gestures of love. The eager pupils were happy they got to share Valentine’s Day making people happy.

Beiez said that showing love to the community and doing something unconventional as a form to uplift it is a great way to leave your footprint in society. The teacher decided to do this project with some of the children to not only spread the love but to integrate the school into the community as it is fairly new.

Pupils were more than happy to hand out sweets and show love. One of the excited pupils, Nicky Knox, said that he enjoyed handing out the sweets and making people happy. “We went all around the street and we gave people sweets which made them very happy because it was from the heart,” said Knox.

A fellow pupil Bothlale Mokgosi said that she most loved how people were happily surprised by them handing the sweets out. “It made me feel really nice when I gave them the sweets and they hugged me,” said Mokgosi.
