Randburg SPCA puts a twist on adoption this Valentine’s Day

NORTH RIDING –Don’t have a Valentine? Don't fret, you can celebrate with a four-legged friend!

Randburg SPCA is doing something a little different for Valentine’s Day this year.

Sharing the love and choosing a Valentine is the norm every year, however, this year Randburg SPCA will be choosing a different kind of Valentine. “We choose fur and four little paws this year,” said Randburg SPCA trainee inspector Jessica Long.

See the world through the eyes of a dog and adopt this Valentine’s Day.

The staff will be spending the night of 12 February and the day of 13 February with their furry friends. “We will share the love and give back the compassion and dedication that the dogs give so willingly,” added Long.

A different twist to the usual adoption is that the HUMANS are up for adoption too! The staff and a few guests will spend the day with their Valentines inside the kennels hoping to be ‘adopted’. To ‘adopt’ a human, a donation is required to reserve the not so furry humans. They would also love it if you would consider adopting their four-legged Valentines too.

“We ask the community to come and have a look on 13 February as we will be sharing the world through the eyes of the dogs by spending the day in their kennels.”

All the proceeds will go toward the animals of Randburg SPCA.
