Collie saved from certain death

NORTH RIDING –This adorable fluffy girl will be available for adoption in two weeks.

A cross Border collie, Baby girl, is recovering at Randburg SPCA  after being saved from a life of dogfighting.

The one-year-old was rescued from Cosmo City on 9 January where she lived her life as bait for dogfighting. Randburg SPCA inspectors saved her from a muddy pit that she managed to dig her way out of. Her entire body was caked in mud to the extent that the inspectors could not determine if she had any injuries.

Randburg SPCA rushed the poor animal to the vet where they were informed that her injuries were superficial. After a much-needed bath, her injuries (mostly to the right leg) were treated and she received medication. Since then she has developed an infection which has spread to her leg bone but is being treated and she is recovering well.

Baby girl is an incredibly lovable companion that enjoys giving lots of kisses and hugs. She has a fantastic nature which is surprising when one looks at her past life.

If you want to give this amazing little girl the forever home that she truly deserves, she will be up for adoption in two weeks.

Details: Randburg SPCA, 011 462 1610/50.
