Drug suspect nabbed in Windsor East

WINDSOR EAST– Random police patrol ends up in an arrest.

The Linden police crime prevention unit arrested a suspect for possession of dagga on 4 February in Windsor East.

The police were doing a random patrol when they noticed a group of males gathering on Dukes Avenue. When they approached them, the suspects tried to flee but police managed to apprehended one of the suspects.

“While searching the suspect, police recovered two plastic zipper bags containing dagga estimated to be R2 000 street value,” said Linden Police corporate communications officer Constable Carol Mulamu. They arrested the suspect and detained him at Linden Police Station.

The 24-year-old suspect will appear at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon for possession of dagga.
