Grade 1 pupils from Rand Park Primary School started off the day with excitement on their first day at school, on 13 January.
The school had two sets of twins – girls who were separated into different Grade 1 classes. Thatong and Thatano Mokoena were happy to go to big school and play with their new classmates.
Grade 1 teacher Theresa Lingenfelder said they have a number of exciting plans for the year ahead for the new Grade 1 lpupils. “Some of the children were emotional while some were excited about their first day in big school,” she said.
