GALLERY: Unika Laerskool has a great morning with new Grade 1 pupils
ROBINDALE – Unika Laerskool looks forward to the Tau Tournament.
Laerskool Unika welcomed four classes of Grade 1s for 2016 on 13 January.
The school is looking forward to a busy year of sports and academics and one of the biggest tournaments is the Tau Tournament for the Grade R to Grade 3 pupils, where 12 schools meet at Laerskool Unika and will be taught mini rugby and netball. “The tournaments are not competitive at all, they are simply there to teach the skills to the children while it is still early,” said the admission secretary Anel Engelbrecht.
Engelbrecht added that there will be many fundraising events for the pupils to enjoy as well as charity events and that the school would like to form a strong bond between the teachers and the parents as the parents will be involved in all of the events.
“We are looking forward to the year and the good times and challenges that come with it,” concluded Engelbrecht.
