Hoërskool Randburg brags with spectacular Matric results

FONTAINEBLEAU – Hoërskool Randburg brags with a 100 per cent pass rate; 183 distinctions and 77 per cent University Entrance for the Matrics of 2015.

Hoërskool Randburg is proud to brag with a 100 per cent pass-rate, 183 distinctions and 77 per cent University Entrance for their Matrics of 2015.

Headmaster Pieter Booysen said he is pleased with the results and impressed that the school’s average has not dropped from previous years.

“I am grateful that the pupils who worked hard received the results they worked for,” he said.

Booysen added that in total there were five pupils with a 90 per cent average, three pupils with nine distinctions, two pupils with eight distinctions, three pupils with seven distinctions and three pupils with six distinctions.

André Meyer received the best results in the school with an average of 95 per cent.

Meyer’s results were 91 per cent for Afrikaans; 90 per cent for English; 96 per cent for mathematics; 98 per cent for life orientation; a 100 per cent for accounting; 94 per cent for computer application technology; 93 per cent for economics and 98 per cent for physical science.

Meyer said he has been granted a bursary of a R120 000 at the University of Pretoria where he will study B Com Accounting in 2016.

“I am impressed with my results, especially my accounting and physical science marks. I am also exited to meet new people and make new friends this year,” said Meyer.

Ruan Spijkerman boasted with eight distinctions and said he is satisfied with his results.

Spijkerman will commence with his studies in information technology in 2016 at the University of Johannesburg.

2015 head boy André Jooste received an average of 93 per cent and head girl Bea Erasmus an average of 88 per cent.
