NIETGEDAGHT – HeronBridge College brags about their outstanding 2015 Matric results and announces the top 10 Matrics.

HeronBridge College in Nietgedacht is proud to once again brag with their outstanding 2015 Matric results.

Head of HeronBridge College Keith Wilke said he is proud that the school’s Matric pupils have continued the tradition of achieving an outstanding set of National Senior Certificate results under the aegis of the Independent Education Board.

“The 2015 Matrics raised the standard of the school even higher than previous years. Once again the school has achieved what we refer to as the 100 times a 100 with its 100 per cent pass rate and 100 per cent access to tertiary studies,” said Wilke.

He added that 96 per cent of the Matric pupils passed with admission to a degree which is the highest percentage ever achieved by the school.

Wilke said the average across all subjects was 67.1 per cent and that English with 72 per cent and maths with 70 per cent were the highest subject averages.

Top one per cent of all English candidates: Paula Edwards, Nicola Stacey, Joshua Thistleton,

Top one per cent all geography candidates: Tyler McKee, Joshua Thistleton

Top one per cent of life orientation: Paula Edwards, Joshua Thistleton

Top one per cent of all life sciences candidates: Paula Edwards, Rachel Stevenson, Joshua Thistleton

Top one per cent of all mathematics candidates: Paula Edwards, Daisy Gidlow, Joshua Thistleton and

Top one per cent of all science candidates: Paula Edwards, Joshua Thistleton

Wilke concluded that Paula Edwards and Joshua Thistleton also received the IEB Outstanding and Commendable Achievement which means these two pupils were placed in the top five percent of all pupils in six more subjects that placed them in the top 50 of all students across the country.
