Five babies born on Christmas

BRYANSTON – On Christmas day gifts came in the form of five bundles of joy at the Mediclinic Sandton on 25 December.

The babies’ deliveries were a pleasant surprise for all the proud parents who welcomed a new life into the world on the joyous day.

Bestie Dietrechsen from Robindale gave birth to a baby girl, Elizemari Dietrechsen who was born at 10pm on 25 December.

Proud mother Dietrechsen said she was expecting her daughter on 31 December but was excited to discover she’s coming early.

“She was definitely a Christmas gift. Looks like her dad, definitely has his nose,” said Dietrechsen.
Baby boy Karabo Motshbi was born at 1am on Christmas day weighing 3.5kgs. He’s mother Tlalane Nthama from Cosmo City said she is looking forward to taking him home on 27 December.

Kisten and Grant Kruger were surprised to welcome their daughter seven weeks early at 11:05am born premature at only 31 weeks.

The excited parents who live in Bryanston have not named their baby girl yet although for now she is known as baby Kruger. They look forward to bringing her home in seven weeks.

Matt David Allan was born at 12.21pm to proud mother Kate Allan who said she was only expecting him on 31 December. “My husband and I believe it is special that he was born on Christmas day,” said Allan.

Michelle and Gastav Lammerding from Krugersdorp welcomed baby Pascal Lammerding on the night of Christmas at 22.09pm. Baby Pascal was only expected on 7 January 2016.

Proud father Gastav said he’s excited to have a baby boy and to spend time with him. “At the moment I’m taking care of our daughter while my wife is healing and so that my daughter doesn’t feel left out,” he said.
