Shots fired as robbers flee with cell phones and cash
RANDPARK RIDGE – Unknown robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and employees cell phones.
Honeydew Police are investigating an incident of robbery at a business after three armed robbers stormed the Randpark Ridge Spar on the evening of 17 December.
The Honeydew Cluster standby and Roodepoort Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Nonhlanhla Khumalo said the suspects allegedly fired two gun shots outside the shop.
“They allegedly took cell phones from an employee and an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident,” she explained.
She further explained that the incident occurred just before 8pm. “There were no residents or customers in the store at the time,” said WO Khumalo.
She concluded that robbers were unknown at this stage.
