Barking dog shot dead
FONTAINEBLEAU – Five armed men kill a dog then rob the dog owners.
A barking dog was shot dead to keep it quiet during an armed robbery in Fontainebleau.
Linden Police spokesperson Constable Carol Mulamo said a couple was allegedly approached in their yard by five armed men in the afternoon on 5 December.
“At the time, the couple was still sitting in their car,” said Const Mulamo.
She said the couple had a firearm pointed at them and the husband was also hit with it.
Seeing that the dog was making a noise, the men shot it.
According to Const Mulamo the men demanded money, grabbed the woman’s handbag and ran away
She said the handbag contained an undisclosed amount of cash including the couple’s particulars.
Const Mulamo said that the armed men were driving a Toyota Corolla.
“We are investigating an armed robbery case” she concluded.
