A car burst into flames on the corner of Northumberland and Olievenhout avenues, outside Ticketpro Dome, in Northgate on 23 November.
Metro Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said that no one was injured, and the City of Joburg Emergency Management Services extinguished the fire. He added that the vehicle was removed from the scene and the incident is under investigation.
VitalMed ER Tweeted a video of the incident at 4.08pm, with the text “Vehicle fire Northumberland by the Dome.” VitalMed ER spokesperson Tanie du Toit said that no ambulance was called to the scene because no one was injured.
