MyeBook–ePublishing host talk

RANDBURG – David Henerson hosts a talk for members and guests of Writers 2000.

David Henderson of MyeBook–ePublishing hosted a Writers 2 000 talk for members and guests on 28 October on his views of ePublishing. Henderson has had great success on Amazon and earns more than he was earning per year in the past years.

Writers 2000 Treasurer Geraldine Letowt-Vorbek, who is a Blairgowrie resident said that Henderson is a warm host with good insight.

Henderson’s desire to help his father, who has been in the hard-copy publishing industry for 10 years, led to his own journey into the world of publishing. During his talk he mentioned not to let emotion get in the way of your book.

“Writing for publication is a business and needs a business-like approach, complete with forward planning, budgeting and marketing,” Henderson said. He believes that being successful outside of South Africa leads to more success in the publishing industry in South Africa.

Other useful tips he offered members and guests of Writers 2 000 is that most authors need an editor in order to finish the job successfully, and translating your work into other languages expands your market considerably. It is also important to invest in the cover and the title of the book as it plays an important role in marketing your book to readers.

Writers 2 000 will end the year off with their annual general meeting and members’ lunch at the end of November. A number of notable speakers have been booked for each month of next year.
