EFF hands over memorandum

JOBURG – Thousands march through Joburg for economic freedom.

EFF Commander-in-Chief Julius Malema, EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu and advocate Dali Mpofu led a march for economic freedom in Joburg on 27 October.

Streets came to a standstill as SAPS and JMPD collaborated in order to keep peace and order in the streets of the CBD.

Malema said they were marching like civilized people living in a democratic country.

The EFF marched from Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, first to the Chamber of Mines in Joburg, where Malema handed over a memorandum.

“We are not here to fight but to handover our memorandum of grievances. We are saying stop stealing from the poor of the poorest,” Malema told officials as thousands gathered at the chamber.

The group then headed to the JSE in Sandton.

The march is still underway.
