RANDPARK RIDGE – Primary school cricket festival was smashing.
Rand Park High School hosted a Primary School Cricket Festival at the school on 18 October.
The event saw primary school cricket players and their families enjoy a morning of cricket.
Rand Park Primary, Constantia Kloof Primary, Blairgowrie Primary plus a mixed Invitational Team competed in a fast-paced, T-10 game format and vied for the medals and floating trophy.
Constantia Kloof Primary took the honours by beating the Invitational side in the first game, followed by Blairgowrie Primary in the play-offs.
It was a good day for cricket with excellent weather, enthusiastic participants and coaches, as well as plenty of competitive spirit.
A group of Rand Park High’s debutantes provided food and refreshments to the spectators and the players, while some of the members of the first cricket team umpired the games.
