Joburg Water has announced an emergency planned water outage on 14 October between 8pm to 8am the following morning.
Joburg Water spokesperson David Sibiya confirmed that the emergency outage is due to a leaking pipe in Magaliessig.
“The technicians could not isolate the pipe, so they will isolate the reservoir in order not to inconvenience the residents,” said Sibiya.

The following areas will be affected:
Beverley; Pineslopes; Lonehill; Fourways; Fourways Gardens; Witkoppen and extensions; Douglasdale and extensions; Norscot; Craighavon; Magaliessig; Paulshof and extensions; Epsom Downs; Bryanston and extensions; Bryanston East and West; Country Life Park; Solridge; Millhill; Kramerview; Clevehill Park; Petervale and Dainfern.

Joburg Water has stated that water tanks will be available in affected areas.
