Seeff Randburg partners with 27 Boxes

RANDPARK RIDGE – Seeff Randburg has joined forces with 27 Boxes to promote security awareness on 31 October and 1 November.

In an effort to raise awareness about community safety, Seeff Randburg and 27 Boxes have partnered for a two-day expo on 31 October and 1 November.

Chris Hajec, director of operations at Seeff Randburg based in Randpark Ridge, said the event is endorsed by the Melville Resident’s Association and the main focus of the initiative is to address security issues by including a Community Watch membership drive on behalf of the Melville Security Initiative.

“In light of the recent crime statistics that revealed that crime has increased over the past year, this drive could not come at a better time. Residents from all neighbourhoods are becoming increasingly aware of their own responsibility toward their community and are looking for opportunities to get actively involved. 27 Boxes is the perfect venue for the expo as it is the centre piece of a resurgent Melville and a radical departure from the shopping malls of our generation.

“Seeff is the ideal community partner as we have played a vital role in many of the key commercial property transactions changing the face of Melville in recent years,” explained Hajec.

Hajec added that 27 Boxes – a retail centre constructed from shipping containers in Melville – exhibits an innovative shopping experience built to showcase an exciting mix of stores in a unique “out of the box” environment.

He further explained that not only is 27 Boxes the first of its kind in South Africa and appealing to creative folk from all walks of life, but the community element added to the Expo certainly makes it a purposeful event to attend.

“The aim is also for families to have fun at the expo. In addition to the membership drive, there will also be numerous fun activities

for young and old to enjoy including a Halloween costume party on the 31st with prizes for best costume, and trick or treat throughout the centre along with games, music etc,” concluded Hajec.
