Bram Fischer Drive to be closed

FERNDALE – Bram Fischer will be closed between Republic Road and Mackay Avenue.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes on 3 October as DSTV City is in the process of building an underground tunnel.

The tunnel will provide vehicles that are in search of parking inside the various campuses of the Multichoice, to park off the public road.

This means that Bram Fischer Road will be closed between Republic Road and Mackay Avenue.

Barkston Drive in Blairgowrie and Oak Avenue in Ferndale can be used as alternatives.

“They are, furthermore, building a pedestrian bridge to get their employees safely across Bram Fischer Drive, between buildings. Currently employees traverse the very dangerous Bram Fischer Drive,” explained Ward 102 councillor David Potter.
