A 30-year-old pedestrian is in a critical condition after he was hit by a car on Malibongwe Drive, Cosmos City, in the afternoon of 1 October. ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring explained that when paramedics arrived on scene, they found the man lying in the middle of the road.
“On assessment, paramedics found the man in a critical condition, with severe injuries to his head and legs,” Meiring said. “Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was airlifted by the ER24 Helicopter to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for urgent treatment.”
Meiring concluded that the occupants of the car escaped injury.
