Six injured in Strijdom Park accident

STRIJDOM PARK – Three vehicles collide, leaving six injured, including a pedestrian.

Six people were injured after three vehicles collided in Strijdom Park on 30 September. ER24spokesperson Russel Meiring explained that the accident occurred in the morning on the corner of Malibongwe and CR Swart drives, and the injured included a pedestrian.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found that numerous vehicles had been involved in the collision,” he explained. “It is understood that a delivery van, truck and car had were involved in the collision. Also injured in the incident was a pedestrian who had been standing on the middle isle in the road. On further assessment, paramedics found that six people had been injured in the collision, one of them seriously.”

Paramedics treated the patients, and provided the seriously injured patient with advanced life support. Once treated, all the patients were transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
