Newspaper salesman knocked down by police van

SONNEGLANS – According to a tweet from Arrive Alive a newspaper salesman was knocked down by a police vehicle.

A newspaper salesman was allegedly knocked down on Malibongwe Drive near the off ramp to the N1 Highway at around 7am on 22 September.

According to a tweet by Arrive Alive tweet.

JMPD spokesperson Superintendent Wayne Minnaar confirmed that a pedestrian was knocked down on Malibongwe Drive. “We are not sure if he was knocked over by a police van,” he said.

Douglasdale SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan said the incident did not happen in his police precinct. “It is not in our area,” he said.

However, the Randburg SAPS indicated that the incident occurred in the Douglasdale Police precinct.
