First ever Organic Life Fair comes to Joburg

POORTVIEW – Are you health conscious, stressed and always sick? Trice Mazwi encourages you to attend the first ever Organic Life Fair which is set to take place at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden.

The first ever Organic Life Fair is set to take place at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens from 9 to 11 October, where patrons will experience all things holistic.

Trice Mazwi, the organiser of the event, said that it took her over a year to plan the Organic Life Fair. She pointed out that the fair would be beneficial for everyone. “With high levels of pollutants in the air and the ever constant growing chemicals put in our food, our bodies are affected

and get sick,” Mazwi said. She said that the Organic Life Fair would help patrons who visit to live an organic life from food, drinks to lifestyle – the fair would encompass all aspects of healthy living.

It all started when Mazwi’s daughter Otlile was diagnosed with meningitis shortly after being born, six years ago. Doctors told her that her daughter would only live two months and some doctors even recommended that she stop giving her child the treatment prescribed.

“The medication she was on just allowed her to breathe. She was like a living doll, all she did was breathe,” Mazwi said. That’s where her journey into holistic living began, she was referred to a genetic specialist who recommended holistic and organic treatments that would see Otlile’s life extended for a further two years. “I could immediately see the difference in my child after visiting body talkers, stress release practitioners, craneo-sacral

therapists, numerologists and astrologers,” she said.

She added that after her daughter passed away she was inspired to share her knowledge of organic and holistic living. “After all the research and knowledge I gained, I realised I had to share it with those who might otherwise never have the opportunity to experience the benefits of organic healing methods and an organic lifestyle,” she said.

“Everything that surrounds us affects us from our environment; the people that are around us to the food and beverages that we consume. It is important to know what is right for our bodies to live a healthy and balanced life,” she said.

Mazwi, a qualified metaphysical scientist, obtained her qualifications from the University of California in the USA, said that the Organic Life Fair would offer patrons an opportunity to find a healthy balance in their lives.
