Women operation cleans Randburg CBD

RANDBURG CBD – Joburg EMS and JMPD female officials sweep the CBD clean and confiscated various fake goods.

A shop selling fake goods in the Randburg CBD was shut down by SARS officials on 25 August.

This happened during a policewomen operation, that included JMPD and Joburg EMS.

It is reported that 24 trading stalls in the CBD were raided from 6am until 12pm as part of the policewomen’s month of activities.

JMPD spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said EMS and JMPD women officials confiscated counterfeit goods comprising of 410 illegal cellphones and accessories.

The confiscated goods include 10 T-shirts, seven pairs of jeans, two Puma tracksuit trousers, 10 Puma bags, 21 Puma caps, 23 Dickies caps, 57 hair pieces, 62 beauty products, and nine pairs of pants.

“All those goods were confiscated by SARS and one shop was shut down,” said Minnaar.
