GALLERY: Rand Park High beats Belfast Royal Academy

RANDPARK RIDGE – The luck of the Irish came to Rand Park High School.

Rand Park High School played against the Belfast Royal Academy from Northern Ireland on 22 July in two exciting rugby matches.

The Belfast Royal Academy arrived in South Africa and challenged Rand Park High to rugby matches, with both their U15 and First teams.

The U15  game was a great game, however Rand Park High suffered a defeating blow of 0 –17.

In the most anticipated game of the day, the Open teams kept the crowd constantly on the edge of their seats.

The players had a tough game with many tries and conversions scored.

The game was won by Rand Park High with a try conversion to bring the final score to 21 –10

“We have loved having Belfast Royal Academy at our school. The children are really excited to host them and hopefully make life-long friends with them,” said Rand Park High’s marketing, public relations and communications officer, Heather Robinson.
