SAPS awareness campaign

BRYANSTON – The Randburg SAPS and the Randburg CPF inform the community about crime trends and important information.

SAPS Randburg together with the Randburg Community Policing Forum (CPF) held an awareness campaign at the Bryan Park Shopping Centre on 18 July.

The aim of the campaign was to inform residents about the CPF and to increase police visibility. Sector 2 manager Constable Maqhawe Dlodlo said, “We are here to raise awareness about crime in the area, specifically theft of motor vehicle where car jamming devices are used, and smash-and-grab incidents.

“We are also bringing awareness of the CPF which works with the community and the police to improve public safety.”

CPF Sector 2 chairperson Lance Porter said, “I feel very encouraged today with the work that the police have done to promote the CPF. The most important thing we are trying to do is inform residents about the sector vehicle cellphone numbers that people can call. These sector vehicles patrol the area at all times which reduces the response time taken by police.”

Details: Sector 2 vehicle cell numbers 071 675 7123 or 071 675 7117.
