Suspects arrested during a joint operation

KENSINGTON B – Police arrest two suspects during a joint operation on 15 July.

Two suspects were arrested, following a joint operation by Randburg Police, JMPD and CSS Security company on 15 July.

Detectives from Randburg Police Station commenced with the operation in the morning and continued until the afternoon.

Vagrants on the corner of Spruce and Cider streets in Bryanston were searched as police were on the hunt for suspects.

They arrested two suspects – one for malicious damage to property and the other on theft charges going back to 2003.

Sector 3 manager Constable Gerry Maluleke advised the vagrants to seek a proper residential place rather than occupying open space.

“They agreed to move out before 18 July,” said Randburg Police spokesperson, Constable Stanley Bopape.

He said CSS Security decided to clean the open space and erect a fence to keep vagrants out.

Both suspects had outstanding warrants of arrest issued by the court and they will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
