New petrol station for mini traffic centre

FONTAINEBLEAU – e10 Petroleum has given the miniature petrol station at the Junior Traffic Centre, a facelift.

A local petroleum company has revamped the miniature petrol station at the Junior Traffic Centre in Fontainebleau.

Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood approached e10 Petroleum and asked them to come on board to revamp the petrol station. They gladly accepted and started work on 7 July and were ready to hand over on 10 July.

e10 Petroleum network manager Shaun Carstens said, “We are based here in Fontainbleau and as a family owned business, we know the importance of giving back to the community. We were glad to help.”

The petrol station at the miniature traffic centre is now an exact replica of the petroleum company’s other filling stations across the country. “We used the same model for this project as for all our stations.”

The centre has tarred roads, miniature traffic lights and signs and is used by the community to teach children the rules of the road. Wood said, “The community hosts parties here free of charge and it is fun for the children to ride their bikes here.

“The revamped petrol station is a great addition to the centre. Thank you to the team at e10 for coming on board,” he said.

Wood also encouraged other businesses to get involved and sponsor traffic signs, road paint and other equipment. He also invited the community to make use of the facilities.
