Bomb scare at Northgate

Northgate Shopping Centre’s banking hall was hit by a bomb scare in the late afternoon on 30 May.

The centre’s marketing manager, Natalie Berkhout confirmed that there was a bomb scare.

“We acknowledge that there was a bomb scare, the bomb squad did come and everything was found to be  in order,” she said.

Honeydew Police are still yet to comment.

Just last week, Cresta Shopping Centre was shaken by a bomb threat that was confirmed as a hoax.
