A Randburg Police officer was injured in a car accident involving three vehicles on the corner of Beyers Naude and CR Swart drives, Randpark Ridge, on 26 May. The driver of a Volkwagen Beetle, Andile Mogale, and the driver of a Mitsubishi Colt, who wished to remain anonymous, explained that the Colt was travelling behind the police van on Beyers Naude Drive around 2.10pm, when it crashed into the back of the van. The police van then collided with the Beetle in front of it.
The two drivers could not specifiy the extent of the woman officer’s injuries, but said that a VitalMed Emergency Response ambulance rushed her away from the scene. VitalMed spokesperson Tania du Toit was not immediately available for comment, but questions have been sent to her.
