Delta Park School soccer team triumphs

DELTA PARK – Delta Park Primary School soccer team is in it to win it.

The Delta Park School U14 soccer team has two wins under their belt after winning both their games at the start of the soccer season. They managed to triumph over Blairgowrie Primary School and Deutsche Internationale Schule (The German School). The team however did not win their last match on 20 May when they took on Greenside Primary School. “I am still very proud of all our primary school soccer teams, from U9 to U14. They have all worked exceptionally hard. In particular, our U14 team and their coach Fungai Matsindikwa, have started off their season well,” said soccer coordinator at Delta Park School Sarah Biley.

According to Biley, interest in all sports at Delta Park School have increased hugely over the last couple of years and their improved standings reflect this. “We have some incredibly talented pupils and it is a pleasure to watch them thrive on the sports field. I believe that the future of sport at Delta Park is bright and our passionate team of staff and coaches are the right people to make it happen,” added Biley

Biley urged other schools to continue to motivate and drive their pupils to become further involved in school sports, particularly team sports, as it significantly complements their academic efforts.
