RANDPARK RIDGE – Feel the spirit for the Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge High School during their ‘Gees Week’.

‘Gees Week’ at Trinityhouse Highschool Randpark Ridge builds up spirit for the upcoming Derby Day.

Each class in the high school has a chance to host and run one assembly during Gees Week. The aim is to build school spirit through war cries and performance. The classes present an assembly and make use of the talents in each grade – some pupils dance or sing. The assemblies are completely run by the student body.

The Grade 11 class hosted an assembly on 16 April to boost school spirit. ‘Gees’ (Afrikaans for spirit) is a suitable name for this week as the hall was alive with tangible passion and excitement. [Insert Video]

The upcoming derby is against Midstream College and will host a number of sports. “The whole school is required to attend and through pure team support many wins are achieved,” said principal Christo de Wit.
