HONEYDEW — Three young players that are ready to take the football world by storm.

Supersport United Soccer Schools, formerly known as Brazilian Soccer schools recently had 16 of their young players make it in the Supersport Academy.

Ryan Manning, Jade Leask and Junior Segaetsho are just three of the star players that made it into the formal Supersport Academy.

Manning (12) has been with the club for two years and recently played in the Mundialito Tournament overseas where he played two years above his age group.

“I love everything about football. I would love to play professionally for Barcelona FC.”

Jade Leask is the only girl that has made it into the academy level at her age. The 11-year-old is also the face of the SuperSport United Soccer Schools.

Leask has been with the club for four years, she said she got selected for the Supersport Academy last season as well.

“It very nice to be the only girl at this point. I have been playing football since I was three or four years old.”

Leask is definitely not fazed about playing with the boys supporting Chelsea FC. She added that she would love to play for the United States. The defending midfielder also does cross-country and swimming.

Little Junior Segaetsho has been with the club for three years and joined when he was just five years.

“It is really nice to be part of the team. I play centre defender. Football is just a very nice sport.”

The 11-year-old is also a Chelsea supporter and does swimming and cricket.

Franchise owner of the soccer school in Randpark and Ruimsig, Shannon Allan, said they are very proud of their players and that their aim is to develop the individual’s talent.

“We develop young players technically. We work with the individual player so that in future they can lay at the highest ability when they grow up. The by-product of developing players is winning games. The children are provided with a dynamic, proven and cutting edge soccer coaching programme.”
