Positions open at Honeydew Police

HONEYDEW – Cluster PRO encourages residents to become volunteers at Honeydew Police Station.

The definition of a volunteer is a person that assists others out of his/her own will.

The Honeydew Cluster has opened up positions for volunteers at the Honeydew Police Station.

Public Relations Officer at the Cluster, Jon Rosenberg said, “The customer service centre at the station has vacancies for various volunteer positions.”

He mentioned that the first vacancy is for people who want to assist and work in the customer centre to assist people with dockets and reports.

“The second position is for people who want to help out at the detective unit where they will scan documents related to police investigations.”

He added, “It is important to note that all of the applicants will be screened for criminal records.”

Rosenberg explained that the positions are only for volunteers, so this means that applicants will have to work for free.

“The good thing is that the volunteer can pick a time that is comfortable for them to work and they can work as many days per month as they like.”

He said the last position is for a lady or gent and it is a CPF secretary position for someone to take minutes at the meetings.

“All applicants can talk to Carmel Wassman at the Honeydew Police Forum in the administration office about the positions if they wish to apply.”

Details: Carmel Wassman 011 801 8576.
