Meet acting Station Commander of Linden SAPS

LINDEN – Colonel Ahmed Zaieed Musthan has been appointed acting Station Commander at the Linden Police Station.

Linden SAPS has an acting Station Commander Lieutenant Ahmed Zaieed Musthan, after Colonel Mabalane Mohale passed away on 14 March.SEE PREVIOUS ARTICLE.

Lt Musthan joined the police service in 1983 in Durban as a constable. In November 2001 he was promoted to lieutenant and became the Head of Visible Policing at Linden Police Station.”I will remain dedicated toward carrying forward the legacy left behind by my previous station commander,” he said.

Lt Musthan explained that he is committed to the following:

• Ensuring that the objectives of the Provincial Commissioner and community are met and surpassed in the Linden precinct.

• Community involvement in the fight against crime.

• Service delivery and community satisfaction are high on his agenda.

“As acting Station Commander I look forward toward working closely together with the community and other external role players in the fight against crime,” said Lt Musthan.

He added that the members of the Linden SAPS are kept updated with the day-to-day crime statistics so that it empowers them to effectively combat crime in the area. “They are also informed regularly on crime patterns, threats crime tendencies and hotspots in an effort to minimise crime in the area,” said Lt Musthan. In order to minimise reaction times, the Linden SAPSs deploys patrol vehicles in each of their four sectors.
