A man died on 9 April after allegedly being stabbed several times along Beyers Naudé Drive in Honeydew.
Provincial Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela said, “It is alleged that the incident happened when two men quarrelled over a woman. However, upon arrival, we did not find the woman on scene.”
Makhubela stated that the 27-year-old man, who was arrested on scene, stabbed the other man on the neck.
Spokesperson for ER24 Pieter Rossouw also confirmed that the stabbing allegedly occurred during a brawl between the deceased and another man.
“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that the man had already succumbed to his injuries,” said Rossouw.
The 27-year-old suspect will appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on 13 April on murder charges.
