Girl Guides enjoy Frozen Camp

Girl Guides had fun building relations with each other during the Frozen Camp that was held at Trefoil Park, in Delta Park.

According to Lyall Schwikkard of Girl Guides in Randburg,”The theme frozen was chosen because most kids enjoyed the movie

and we could work a camp around the theme.”

The girls played a wide variety of games and also “made ice cream using ice, salt and zip lock bags,” said Schwikkard.

Various challenges were given to them, including cooking for themselves on fires and gas.

One evening during camp, they had a camp fire and sang songs.

They learn new skills at Guides and camps while having fun.

Schwikkard was pleased with the outcome of the camp and concluded, ”The girls learned how to get on with each other, and enjoy the outdoors.”
