Pupil donates money to Cotlands

NORTH RIDING - Cooper College pupil raises and donates funds to Cotlands.

Jaidan Blackburn, a Grade 6 pupil of Cooper College, used her own initiative and decided to run a school raffle in aid of Cotlands.

Tickets were sold for R10 and her mother, Angela Blackburn, kindly donated the prizes.

Her fellow learners rallied to buy tickets hoping to win an iPad, digital camera or digital photo frame, and also in the knowledge that every ticket bought was a

donation to the less fortunate.

The exciting raffle draw was held on the last day of school 25 March.

At the same time, Jaidan did the handover of the cheque to Penny Bryce of Cotlands who was delighted at the R11 300 raised.

Cooper College promotes a sense of community among its students and is proud of Jaidan for taking the bull by the horns, in order to make such a worthy contribution.
