BREAKING NEWS: Alleged taxi violence in Randburg CBD

RANDBURG – Police have reportedly cordoned of China Discount Market due to a taxi violence incident.

Police are currently at the scene of what appears to be a taxi violence incident on Jan Smuts Avenue, near the Randburg CBD, where the China Discount Market has been cordoned off.

This follows hot on the heels of the started of an on-going initiative to reduce taxi violence between Alexandra Township and Randburg on Bram Fischer Drive by the Gauteng Traffic Police Department on 25 March.

According to the department’s spokesperson Busaphi Nxumalo, officials will be out along that route until the conflict between taxi associations has been resolved.”
