In honour Rand Park goes pink

RANDPARK RIDGE – Rand Park Primary School hosts a Pink Drive in honour of two educators who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Pink was seen everywhere at Rand Park Primary School on 13 March in order to raise

funds for the Choc Foundation.

Each pupil was dressed in some form of pink to commemorate the Pink Drive which Rand Park Primary hosted. The day was hosted in order to

honour the two educators (Grade 2 and Grade 6) who have been diagnosed with cancer.

The pupils paid R5 each to dress in the dazzling pink and, along with other donors, Rand Park Primary managed to raise R7 000 for the Choc Foundation.

“We felt that we needed to contribute to a worthwhile cause that aids an illness that is very prevalent in today’s society,” said principal Nic Pienaar.

The much-needed contribution was handed over to Ndizwanga Mulovhedzi, a communications coordinator for Choc.
