Teen takes to international modeling stage

RANDBURG — Twelve-year-old wins all-expenses-paid modeling internship in US.

It is never too early to branch into the national modelling industry, at least not for Seren Koekemoer.

She recently competed and won the National Figures Model of the year in December, in the ramp category. To top that off, the 12-year-old was awarded the Figures Model Randburg internship for 2015.

Her proud mother, Tanya Koekemoer beamed, “Seren is the youngest person ever to be awarded the Figures Models Randburg Internship. We are extremely proud of her.”

Seren has simultaneously earned herself an all-expenses-paid trip to New York to attend the International Model Talent Association (IMTA).

The IMTA convention is attended by models and artists from across the globe. It is held annually in New York and Los Angeles, where the participants compete in numerous showcases from modelling, acting, singing and dancing.

International agents, managers and directors are invited to attend in search of the next big thing. Famous faces that started off at IMTA include – Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel and 2009 winner – South African born Meandra Nel.
