A man and women were injured following a shooting incident in Nooitgedacht, near Honeydew, just after 8.30pm last night.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann, paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a man, believed to be in his 30s, and a woman, believed to be in her 60s, were injured following the incident.
“Upon assessment they found the woman had sustained a critical gunshot wound and the man had sustained a serious gunshot wound,” explained Stenmann.
Both patients were treated at the scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that they required.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the shooting incident and preceding events are still speculative and will remain the subject of police investigation.
