Randpark High school sinks Bryanston High School

RANDPARK RIDGE – Randpark High School gave Bryanston High School a run for their money during their rugby friendly game.

Randpark High School’s first rugby team collided with Bryanston High School on a gruelling Derby Day on 7 March.

The derby started off poorly with both teams trying to find their feet.

However, minutes into the game the home ground advantage started paying off for Randpark High.

In just 25 minutes, Randpark team was leading with 20 points, leaving the visitors without points.

Bryanston continued struggling and again 30 minutes into the game, Randpark were leading with 25 points.

The visitors had their chances but a lack of composure, and failure to penetrate Randpark’s wall cost them.

Randpark’s uncompromising defence kept pulling punches and forced the visitors into errors.

The game ended at 46–0.

It was an accomplishment for Randpark High coach who constantly cheered his team.

“This is just amazing, the boys have done really well, they have trained hard and it was really amazing seeing them execute what they have learned,” said Randpark High coach Robin Mildenhall.

“They work hard, they play hard and it has really become an honour to play for the first team in Randpark.

“As a coach, you always play to win, but 46–0 makes you smile,” said Mildenhall.

The team is also in the Pirates League which they won last year, and they will be looking forward to defending their title this year.
