24 years is enough for Reddy

HONEYDEW – Honeydew Cluster Commander General Oswald Reddy set to leave cluster at end of March.

After serving the Gauteng community for more than 24 years, Honeydew Cluster Commander Major General Oswald Reddy said he felt he needed a change of environment. Reddy, who prides more than 34 years of service in the South African Service, said he will start his new job in George, Western Cape on 1 April.

“When I started my career in the police service, I worked in Kwa-Zulu Natal for two years and I was in the Western Cape for seven years. I have been here in Gauteng for 24 years and believe it was now time to move on,” explained Reddy.

Reddy said his move had nothing to do with the recent transfers that were implemented in the police service.

“There was an open position in George, I applied and was fortunate to be successful. So this is just a transfer,” concluded Reddy.
