Dis-chem Brain of Brains resides in Northgate

NORTHGATE — Shaun Goodbrand shows off his brain power as the ultimate winner of the Dis-Chem Brain of 702/CapeTalk.

Northgate resident Shaun Goodbrand bagged R20 000 and the title of Dis-chem Brain of Brains on 2 march.

Goodbrand showed off his brain power against Dis-Chem Brain of CapeTalk semi-finalist, Nasreen Faki. On Saturday, 28 February, Shaun secured a win at the wildcard at Sandton City for Dis-chem’s Brain of 702.

He said this was his second time entering and he prepared himself by listening in to the other rounds on the radio.

“I brushed up on some general knowledge ahead of the finals on air. I did some crosswords puzzles and just tried to get on top of my game,” said the Northgate resident who is now R20 000 richer.

The Dis-Chem Brain of 702/CapeTalk gave away more than R300 000 since it began on 2 February.

Shaun Goodbrand said he planned on taking some time out with a family vacation somewhere in Africa.

“I was incredibly nervous but I tried to show a calm exterior.”

The annual competition affords people with a brilliant bank of general knowledge the chance to cash in and show off that talent, on air and in front of an audience
